Typically, installers that attempt to re-seal the end cuts will take a rag and soak it with a sealer or use a paint brush or sponge out of a can of primer. These techniques are inefficient and time consuming to do – resulting in the end cut rarely getting sealed. As a result, the lumber coating warranty is void* if the cut ends are not resealed when installed – a major industry-wide issue.
